I don't think that there's much discussion of this here but I have seen a number of RPG boards successfully conduct games using their forum software.

- RPG.net's "RPGnet Roleplaying Games" sub-forum.
- Vin's T&T TrollBridge (you'll have to scroll down to the "Online T&T Games!" section).
- The gone-but-not-forgotten-and-preserved-in-the-Wayback-Machine Paranoia Live (PBMB version of the old West End Games classic dystopian SF RPG, Paranoia).
- Do playbymail.net members know of other successful implementations of PBMB?
- What numbers would be necessary to do this kind of thing here? Not necessarily just RPGs--I can imagine people submitting their turns for other kinds of games by private message, getting personalized results by private message, and having visible results posted to the messageboard.
- Errrmmmm ... anything else that occurs to you.
