It is a wargame, so if you've never played one, it will be a bit of a leap.  As wargames go, it is not overly complex.  I can condense the rules into a couple of pages of layman's english, if there is interest.

My intent is to play it more-or-less openly, and post screenshots and commentary as play progresses.

Also, VASSAL allows for non-players to be part of the game flow.  So I would be happy to moderate a game between two newbies, and offer rules clarification and basic advice to both sides.

This is an excellent idea, ixnay. Condensed rules would be a great help.
