The Solo Wargamer's Association and their magazine Lone Warrior is still active. Their website is here: http://theminiaturespage.com/ref/clubs/clubgl.html#swa
I emailed its contact as I wanted a pdf of a couple of articles I wrote in the very early days (late 70s or early 80s). One was on role-playing how the shocked, disoriented and irradiated residents responded to a nuclear attack on a town, the other was about Stockholm's sea defences and archipelago. They are still basically a paper magazine and a sub to 4 issues to Europe costs about 40 dollars a year. Not bad at current dollar exchange rates.
The contact email for any interested is lonewarrior@kc.rr.com (Rich Barbuto).
