That's probably because he had just registered. The delay is one of the ways that we try to weed out spambot accounts from overtaking the forum. Of late, the forum has enjoyed a reprieve from them, event though it is open to the unregistered general public to view at their leisure. I don't like having the delay, but more than once in the past, the spambots came roaming and posting like crazy, and they make the forum virtually unusable, when they do that.
The name of Deacon rang a bell. I went ahead and activated his account and set him at subscriber level, which should preserve his account, even if I end up deleting old registered users who no longer visit the forum, from time to time. I'll send him an e-mail and let him know that his account, here, has been activated.
