I fire off an e-mail, this morning, to the front cover artist, to get things in motion for the artwork for the front cover of Issue #11 of Suspense & Decision magazine.

So, even if nobody out there sends any articles, reviews, feedback, etc. in, at least Issue #11 will still have a front cover.

Feel free to doddle some art of some kind for Issue #11, if you feel up to it, all of your PBM and turn-based gaming fans, as well as all of you closet artists out there. It doesn't have to be perfect. Hell, it doesn't even have to be good. People will still enjoy it, I'm sure.

I look forward to receiving it. I prod people, to try and ensure that people don't forget and that they actually do send something in.

I've now sent you two items, one on Ultima Online: Renaissance and one on Midgard UK. I was hoping to send another on Harlequin Games Legends but the game I had in mind has not appeared yet. I published several articles on Flagship but most back issues of this superb journal have disappeared, and now also the website with it.

I received both of those articles in my e-mail in-box, this morning. I very much appreciate you sending them to me! I have already forwarded them to Bernd, in fact, since he is itching to try out his new software for the next issue's layout.

I may save one article for the following issue, or I may use both of them in Issue #11, depending upon how much stuff gets sent to me for Issue #11. It's been a good morning for receiving magazine submissions, but that doesn't mean that other days will see as much stuff make its way to me for inclusion into the next issue.

Also, back when Carol Mulholland, the editor of Flagship magazine, was still publishing Flagship, she agreed to let me help her scan back issues in (she sent me issues 1, 2, and 3 in hard copy format to facilitate this), and she agreed that I could post them to my website, to ensure that there was some redundancy, in case her website went down, again, as past experience had demonstrated that it might.

So, try this link:

Most of the back issues of Flagship magazine, I don't have a copy of, so the selection is rather limited.

There is quite a lot of play-by-mail going on. Harlequin Games is particularly active, with several games of Legends, the One Ring, and the continuing saga of Exile. Is there no-one here who is in one of these games?

Hopefully I will get an article to you for Fallen Empires which I'm playing.

Great Game by the way and the GM is very friendly

Grim, how do you feel about fiction for issue 11? Is there a word count minimum or maximum?

I'm glad that you asked me that, because there's a second part of an article that was in issue #10 that needs to be included in Issue #11,

No minimum nor maximum word count for articles, be it fiction articles or otherwise. Just write the articles that you want to write, and then submit them. If I think that a given article needs to be split across more than one issue, that decision is based upon more than just the article in question.
