Submissions for Issue # 6: Reminder!
I sent out a Call for Submissions for Issue # 6 via e-mail on April 11th, 2014. I post this, as a reminder to any and to all who might be interested in submitting an article, an advertisement, a photo, or some other material for our next issue of Suspense & Decision magazine.
Each issue is published on or near the last day of the month, so you've still got a week to send something in. We would love to have you participate in making Issue # 6 all the more interesting, by including something from you to share with our readership.
If you have anything that you want included, be sure to send it to me at: GrimFinger@GrimFinger.Net

I have begun compiling Issue # 6. If anyone has any additional material to submit, I encourage you to send it to me via e-mail, A.S.A.P.. We could use the extra content.

You could use my older (2011) blog post about PBM. I wrote it to introduce PBEM to friends of mine who weren't familiar with the subject, so it might be rather basal for a PBM magazine: http://binaryelysium.com//blog/2011/03/1...-dead.html
Feel free to editorialize the title as well...I recall another (better) article with a similiar name.

Well, I can't make the deadline, obviously, but I am off work on Friday, so I should be able to get Issue # 6 pushed out the door by then, if not tomorrow, sometime.
It appears that someone at home decided to close out all of the stuff that I was in the middle of, so that certainly didn't help. I'll have to recreate some of what was lost due to this.
ACK!!

The responsible culprit stands revealed - my son's eight year old cousin visiting from out of state.
Why?
Because, they needed cheat codes for Grand Theft Auto V.
And as Paul Harvey might say, now you know the REST of the story.

Well, it seems that the front cover art for Issue # 6 is done.
Ixnay is supposed to be sending me an article - I think. The issue is mostly compiled, and I have a few bare spots on various pages to fill in with assorted PBM exotica. Plus, I still need to do the index page. It should be much longer, sometime tonight or tomorrow, I'm guessing. I was interrupted earlier this morning by a pan of bacon.

Delays tend to manifest on their own, and they tend to not ask my permission beforehand. It won't matter that Part 2 ends up in the next issue. I did it with JD's article, previously, and I had all of his article in beforehand.
Circumstances and situations vary. I just try to keep things moving forward, regardless.

It sucks, being so far behind, but Issue # 6 is almost done. I'm pretty sure that it will get published sometime later today, probably tonight, sometime.
Most of what is left to do are small details, such as copy and paste article titles in the footer section of follow-on pages for articles that spread over more than one page, and fill in a few gaps here and there caused by articles that do not fill the entire page. It's not hard work, just tedious stuff. Then, I have to double-check the hyperlinks that are incorporated into the pages, to try and ensure, to the degree possible, that readers end up going to the right web page or e-mail address, when they click on them.
The draft of the index page is finished, also. I have to write a couple of paragraphs of intro text for it, and fill in some empty space on that page, also.
Article # 6 features an interview, one that was supposed to be included in Issue # 5, but which didn't make it last issue, due to an oversight on my part. Ixnay still hasn't sent me that article that he was working on, so I don't know, yet, if it will be included in this issue, or not.
