• Factional Name:

The Boda Family

•The primary purpose for the faction to exist?

To reclaim Midgard from the invader Imperials and drive them back into the sea, and liberate all Imperial holdings from them.

•What distinguishing feature does this faction have?

They are real warrior soldiers and they are: HI, MI, HM and MM. They can stand toe to toe with the Imperials, and in he field they have a slight warrior advantage with their warrior skills and experience. Talking to Jon Capps, the Boda were originally Foot based Warriors NOT  Mounted warriors and Not Siege Weapons masters, that was a Zan E. change. Jon C recoded the game and sold Zan E. (Midgard USA) a copy of the game, and Zan made various changes to different factions including the Boda. The Boda were the supreme Foot Warriors in the game and were the masters in the field of combat.

• What specific in-game benefit can this faction have?

+1 Damage in combat with their Fighting styles
With the Boda Office within a city it increases the over all +2% amount of weapons available on the market.
Adds two products to the market, HM to a cities market, and at (15) Boda Offices adds War Dogs

•What makes this faction interesting and fun to play?

They are the Supreme Warriors of the Midgard and they will fight against everyone that would hamper their focus of defeating the Imperials.

•What (usually mutual) factional enemies?

Imperials, Barbarian, Bandits, Pirates

Other Notes:
Skills:

CMD - Command
STR - Strategy
SGE - Siege warfare
TAC - Tactics
PCB - Personal Combat
TRK - Tracking
SCT - Scouting

Ok, are you then proposing that they remain as Foot Warriors or that you'd like to see a change?

Do the Boda get along well with the other families? What about religions like the Banner?

Could you explain this to me a little?  Are you saying that any Boda office adds HM and 15 of them adds War Dogs, and those are the two you mentioned?

Actually under Zan E (Midgard USA) the Boda were changed to be Mounted Warriors and Siege Weapons experts, but don't have Siege. It was poorly designed out I feel, and not what they were once designed.

The Boda can do what ever YOU TH GM want to write the history...I feel they should get along very well with the Roder as allies that work well together because ethey have to to survive. They are neutral to the Getham because they just want to make money and will work with everyone including the Imperials.

I am stating that instead or adding Siege weapons onto a market, they should add HM (Heavy Missile). Also I am stating to add War Dogs as a new product, their value need to be defined as a weapon type is all for the game.  Basically I am saying if a city has 15 Roder AG offices, then War Dogs will appear on that cities market, War Dogs were talked about in Zan's Midgard USA, but were not yet added before he passed away.

The point of these threads is to ask for input so we can, as a group, design what we want to be playing.

Is HM not already an option on the markets?

Let's reserve War Dogs for future consideration then, and see if we can allow Boda to be a balanced design without requiring them.
