I hadn't even heard of level 25 preserve walls, so was intending them to only go to 10.  But I'm considering starting them much lower, in keeping with the more "undeveloped" feel I wanted to start with, and letting them build up to their preferred strength.

Zan under Midgard USA made all Perservs 25.0 walls/towers, and all Forts 10.0 walls/towers to protect them. He knew finally he had a group of very connected players that were willing too take the history seriously and hunt down and kill the Imperials at any cost and drive them from Midgard.

This brings up another issue from the past and that is their was a Core group of Old Timer players that were all Seniors players  in one faction or another while also playing in other factions and everyone was playing to help each other when things should not work that way. Example we had the Boda #1 whom had a cousin Imperial clan that ran a Imperial city, and his Imperial clan ran around with 24,000 Imperial troops(Regiments). This was a "Cousin" of the Boda Senior #1....we had Roder seniors with Imperial clans with Armies in tow doing things that never should happen.  The other issue is all of these standard factions had only a handful of players, and they were all Seniors of some other faction and they did not play against one another correctly. 

Sorry there should be some rules that stop this type is abuse of the game. If your a senior of one faction, you should not be allowed to continue to play in a opposite political faction. Like a Imperial with a Boda or Barbarian cousin for example. That type of abuse has to be stopped. Stop leaving it to the players to police themselves, because the "Good Old Boys club" just does what they want. I could see a SOA senior with a cousin that was a Buccaneer(Pirate) and another cousin that is a Bandit clan very easily.  I could see a Banner senior that also has a cousin that was a Gift clan and another cousin that was a Ring clan but that same Banner clan would never have a Blood & Fire cousin. That type of game abuse of the system has to be stopped and can if the #0 of a faction speaks up to that Senior clan and lays done the LAW.

I am glad to hear your starting over and rebuilding from the ground up and resetting many things as this can fix a lot of issues that had been allowed to happen. No one is perfect, but I would like to see the game hit the ground running and the abuses of the past whipped away. Airing them here is helpful to get them out in the open and make you the GM aware of them.
