Me, I've got a few things I hope to do:
- put together my Cluster Wars turn early
- see if I can get back into Rennaissance
- read over the extensive stuff on Fallen Empires and Hyborian War and try to decide whether to sign up for one
- look into the Diplomacy community and possibly join a game
I may even get into development again, depending on what I have time for...

Well this weekend is more PBM activity then I have done in a number of years, since I have only just join the two games in the past 2 months.
- Do my Tribenet 2 orders
- Also look at doing a 3rd Tribe turn for Fallen Empires
- Considering a settlement startup for Fallen Empires also
- Created a tribal standard for the Iron Storm Tribe (thankyou GIMP and plugin brushes) In saying this, I am not 100% happy. I think it might be the colour scheme. Comments welcomed. Attached is a very low res
That's about it. I still live in hope Midgard programming gets finished real soon.
Your banner looks cool, and very impressive that you did it in GIMP. I wouldn't know where to begin with designing something like that.
As for my weekend, I did manage to lay down my next turns orders in Cluster Wars in 'broad strokes', and to have an animated discussion with Pool Boy about it. Deadline is tonight, so I better submit it as soon as I get home!
I also got an HTML 5 book from the library. I wanted to survey it as a cross-platform tool that will enable me to do some limited graphics and animation that will render well for both web site and mobile devices. So far it's looking pretty much my speed, and better than Flash for what I intend to do. If I can find a good javascript plugin that lets my pages talk to a central database, then I'm ready to go. This will allow me to avoid expensive dev tools while still being in a development/scripting zone I know pretty well.
Didn't do anything with Rennaissance or Diplomacy.
Cluster wars does sound interesting, but I have never been able to get into PBM/PBE space games, however love them on the PC.
You are hitting the right mark looking at HTML 5 if you want to develop something that will work well for a web based game so people can use a PC or mobile device.
